Yokohama English Garden |
Spring in Yokohama is filled with vibrant flowers and beautiful greenery. Notable among them are roses, the city's symbolic flower, which are at their best during this time of the year. They are also cherished in Yokohama as a symbol of friendship between Japan and the United States since when saplings were gifted from the US during the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923.
At "Yokohama English Garden", there are approximately 2,800 plants of 2,200 varieties of roses, making it a rich collection. The highlight is the rose tunnel that extends about 50 meters from the entrance. Additionally, during the limited period from April 20th (Saturday) to May 19th (Sunday), "Early Morning Premium Opening" will be held. You can enjoy Yokohama sightseeing starting from the early morning, two hours earlier than the usual opening hours, to savor the fragrance of roses!
