Prefectural Mitsuike Park |
In spring, Yokohama is adorned with cherry blossoms, creating a picturesque scene throughout the city. Why not enjoy the iconic cherry blossoms of Japan to the fullest in Yokohama?
Mitsuike Park, literally meaning “Three Pond” Park, is located approximately 15 minutes by bus from JR Tsurumi Station, and covers about 74 acres and features three ponds originally created for irrigation. The park, surrounded by rich woodlands with natural undulations, is a representative cherry blossom spot in Yokohama, and has also been selected in Japan's "100 Best Cherry Blossom Spots." Starting with the early blooming Kanzakura in mid-February, approximately 1,000 cherry trees of 70 varieties bloom at different times, allowing visitors to enjoy cherry blossoms here until late April.
The beautiful contrast between cherry blossoms and the ponds provides a moment of tranquility in the midst of the city.
