Mount Yoshino, located in Nara Prefecture in a town called Yoshino is a popular cherry blossom viewing destination due to the 30,000 cherry blossom trees that cover the mountain slope. Visitors can enjoy cherry blossom viewing in many different spots along the mountain, along with shrines, temples, and restaurants as they ascend up the mountain. The mountain is divided into four sections, Shimo Senbon, Naka Senbon, Kami Senbon, and Oku Senbon in ascending order. Because the cherry blossoms bloom at different rates depending upon the section, the cherry blossoms may not be in full bloom at some parts of the mountain.

"For the special holiday to retreat to the mountain. Enjoy a variety of hot spring baths: a chartered bath, a guest room bath, and an open-air bath. Don't forget to relax with local sake. For young girls, aromatherapy is an excellent way to relax. Sakoya is the established ryokan with the 300-year history, which dug out the hot spring first here in Yoshinoyama, and devised a chartered open-air bath first in Japan. We have a variety of guest rooms ready: a guest room with a skylight window to see stars, with an open-air hot spring bath, and with antique furniture."
