Kyoto Arashiyama is located in the western outskirts of Kyoto at the bottom of the Arashiyama mountains far from the hustle of the main city. The scenic town is home to the famous Togetsu-kyo bridge and a World-Heritage site, Tenryu-Ji Temple, and arguably one of the best known sites of Arashiyama, the Bamboo Grove. Arashiyama is also particularly beautiful in early April when the cherry blossoms are blooming and offers a great setting for those who enjoy a scenic landscape.

From Tokyo:

Air 1 hour 15 minutes: Haneda airport to Osaka Kansai airport.

From Osaka:

Rail Kansai Airport Line to Arashiyama: 1 hour 44 minutes. 16 minutes from Kyoto to Sagarashiyama.
